hi, i'm meghan
i love yoga...
Yoga doesn't ask you to make a trade- it can be graceful and powerful, quiet and strong, joyful and grounded. And I love that about yoga.
I found yoga during a difficult time in my own life. Thanks to my thoughtful teachers, the practice quickly stole my heart. I began to feel more at home in my skin and continue to build on that feeling every day.
I believe yoga should be accessible, approachable, supportive and judgement free. Yoga can be a resource for laughter, silliness, stillness and calm- and I want all of those things!
A physical therapist by training, I combine my knowledge of the human body with my understanding of the human experience every time I step on the mat. There's nothing I'd rather teach.
Also...I love a good breakfast waffle and lavender scented anything.
I am grateful to be a student of Adena Muncey, and earned my 200 hour yoga certification with her at Starr Yoga in Roslindale, MA. I study therapeutic and restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky in New York, NY, completed Yoga For Trauma training with Lisa Danylchuk, LMFT, Off the Mat Into the World Intensive with Seane Corn, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling and have been fortunate to attend workshops or retreats with Angela Farmer and Renee LeBlanc.
I am a 2005 and 2006 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA, holding a BS in Rehabilitation Sciences and an MS in Physical Therapy. I am a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of MA. From 2006-2011, I worked mostly in the acute hospital setting, specializing in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant. In addition, I have experience treating orthopaedic, medical, surgical, trauma, amputations, cardiac and neurological dysfunctions. In 2011, I returned to school, earning my MBA from Boston College. Since that time, my experience includes work in the for-profit, start-up and non-profit sectors.
